An arriving transport slows down as it reaches it's destination; an enormous space city orbiting a distant planet.

Another fairly old piece, one of the last I painted with a mouse. This was an experiment in bringing multiple mediums together.

Drawn in PS 7 - Simple block created for station, planetscape drawn from photo ref, arriving craft scanned in pencil sketch that was then painted up. Original res 6250x1800

I really like this. The warm colours of the planet are inviting; the gradual thinning of the atmosphere into space is convincing; the details in the ship and the floating city are very crisp and well-done. The starry background is also very convincing; thanks for sharing!

The planet looks really neat - I love the red/purple colors you have going there.

You painted this with a mouse? I guess the legend of the digital painter who used a mouse is true, after all. Anyway, good job on the space city- this is really a great painting.
