Wow, looks like Middle Earth as depicted in the Lord of the Rings movies. Like the viewer is standing in Ithilien, looking out at the Pelennor Fields (on the right) and Osgiliath on the left over the river, and big and mighty Mount Doom in the background. Ok, I'm freaking myself out that I can actually spell all those names. Before LotR came out I was a Harry Potter person. That's changed. Very beautiful painting, by the way, I love the lighting effects and the dramatic difference between the innocent little city right there surrounded by a beautiful landscape and the giant volcano right by it. Very nice.
