Artist's Comments

Here is another concept image for a product I have been working on. Like "The Room" this was a set up piece, demonstrating light, shadow and atmosphere - along with the textural look for modeling artists.

This piece and others like it can be seen at my new Vision Afar site.

Original res 1400x2200
PhotoShop CS Wacom – 7-8 hours.

I love these pieces. They're so calming, yet sorta creepy. I think they are very well done, and I really envy these, since I'm horrible with technical works. Beautiful, keep up the work, and can't wait to see more. :P

Great but it must have been tedious doing all those tiny brick's, the amount of line's drawn would put me to sleep, you have great patience.

I agree. It is a very calming picture. The colours are gentle and the room is spaceous. There is also something quite eerie about the downwards steps though, and the combination of the two makes it a very intruiging picture to look at. =)

Wow, another superb piece of work

Stunning, as is with all your pictures. How long do you take to paint one of these?
:iconchaos-syndrome:
This reminds me of the ending of Blade Runner, though I'm not sure why...
:iconaffekt:
Read the description. 7-8 hours. ;) :)

Anyway, the subtle colouring and atmosphere are excellent, gives a creepy, on edge look. :D

Mmmmm... that's good lighting. Not quite as photoreal as The Room, I think, but still brilliant. I espescially like the more dynamic composition here.

I'd love to see a tutorial on how you achieve the texture in that shaft of light.
