This is another excellent piece of work (but from you, what isn't?). Whilst it's plain to see that your main line of style lies within the more futuristic touches, all that alien archetecture, it's a stark contrast to this much more natural scene which heralds similar beauty.
So what's to say, the waterfall is easily my favourite part. I have a thing for them really, powerful yet oh so fantastic to savour visually, shame the 3d program i work with doesn't have that kind of capacity. Great that you included one here though, and i like that to the right of it, its pretty much a chasm - brings in a mystery appeal to the image, what is down there? is it as gorgeous as is what is at the top of the falls?
Now, you've got a knack for doing clouds well, that cannot be disputed. A lot of your images have the sun in fairly central and unobstructed view, good to see a twist on this (no pun on the cloud formation
One of the other key attributes to this was the spire like feature of the landscape. Now whilst this is entirely for the images benefit as i can just reach in and grab the depth, what also got me was looking down towards the base, and to the river. A most excellent reflection in the water... i can't quite get over that for some reason unknown to me. Speaking of depth, the trees in the foreground, aside from being exceptionally well detailed and coloured, definitely enhance the image in that department, good work there.
The only thing i'm perhaps less keen on is the left rock face, the brushstrokes give it a slightly more cartoony feel in comparison to the majority of the other regions in the image, however this may be due to the fact that since it is shadowed, the atmosphere isn't affecting it, whereas in the most part atmosphere affects the image.
Makes me wish i was back in switzerland. Fabulous work Gary.
