Just fooling around for the hell of it - :)

A suspended superstructure converting geothermic energy into power for a planet. Just though it would be fun to paint - not for any project.

this could work on a principle similar to that of the stirling engine, which turns temperature differentials into kinetic energy. perhaps some kind of crystal could turn it into electrical energy instead.

You always come up with the coolest, most unique sci-fi scenarios. The contrast between the hot reds of the bottom and cool blues of the top is very striking.

When I first saw this and I had to do a double take, to see the lava pit below.
I looks very similiar to the Deathstar Power Generator they blow up in Return of the Jedi. Awesome Art!
