This is a little bit of a revisit to an old idea – “Orbit” was originally just me mucking about but became very popular for prints and publishing – however I never really thought that much about it at the time (I was literally just sketching space art as a bit of fun between projects). I loved the idea of the piece so now, 8 years on I've had another stab at it.

Built above the main structure, another level that is beyond the atmosphere – allowing craft to dock without braving the weather on the planet”

What would I need to get into this thing? What would I need to learn what programs? This inspired me
the only minus to me is the over-sized moon, its a real science fiction cliché.. (or is that the planet and is the civilization on a moon?)
I'm hoping humanity will someday get to the point where we can actually build stuff like this...
great job on giving an idea about how that would look like!
I wonder how that huge structure would look like for an observer at the surface of the world..
