I've had a fascination recently with the architecture and more importantly, the lighting in places like Havana, Cuba - the Sun is so much brighter there than here in the UK. Anyway, continuing the theme, I thought I'd paint a person - for a change - I got a little more carried away with this because I find people more challenging - hence, I used a photo ref:

and it took a little over 140 minutes to complete so not quite a speedpaint... :)

Very nice execution! But the corner of her mouth and the eyes seem sort of "plastic". Am I saying this right?

I've been watching this in two days in a row now, and I just love your strokes.
Is that a custom brush? Sorry to be a bother or anything, but i was wondering if there was a way for me to get that brush? ^^;;

standard PS "block" brush - I don't use custom ones :) (although I do customise some of the settings)

beautiful work. very nice. may be the darker area under her right eye(above the cheeks) needs to be lighter.
