Hey there :)

Just mucking around here - it's the same old story with this piece, 400m high spider mechs invade Earth, cause trouble, army try to stop them... ;)

Anyway, the image took about 70 minutes of badly drawn strokes and messing about - it's ok - more fun to paint than it is to look at to my eyes!

Original res 5000 pixels (wide)
Painted in PS CS3
Intous 3 Tablet

I hope you are all ok out there!

Love the way the blurring effect makes it seem as if there is a real sense of urgency about this picture!

You get a real sense of motion in this piece. I can believe that a battle is raging around - catching glimpses of the grotesque before it flashed past.

this is NOT a speed paint its really good anyway. (the spidermech is a real life robot/mech too!) i like how you had the perfect angle too look draw it at with also the blur effects of a moving camera giving you the sense if this was a real picture this would be took by a moving solider. Keep up the awesome work!

The sense of motion in this piece is what makes it so astounding. I feel like I'm moving (or the painting is moving) whenever I look at it. I wouldn't even know where to start when it comes to making a stationary image look like it's vibrating or moving at immense speeds. Wow.

excellent man. out of curiousity, did you brush the blur in as you went or post-edit it to get that effect?
